President Mamnoon Hussain expressed satisfaction at the high standard of defence products adding that growth of defence industry would diversify country’s economy thereby broadening industrial base beyond traditional sectors and providing jobs for rapidly growing population.

The President said this while talking to Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanveer Hussain who called on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad on Tuesday.

The President urged the minister to conduct proactive marketing in order to increase export of Pakistani defence products. Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanveer Hussain also apprised the President about the overall working and performance of the ministry.
