President Mamnoon Hussain has said that unity and integrity of Pakistan is supreme over everything and we salute those rendering sacrifices in fight against terrorism and assure them that their sacrifices would not go in vain.

The President was addressing a ceremony of Nazria-e- Pakistan Trust here in Lahore on Sunday.

The President stated that through self-introspection we can determine as to how successful we have been in implementing the ideas and vision of founder of the nation and where we have lagged behind. The President said that motto of Quaid-e-Azam “unity, faith, discipline’ are our guiding principles. The President stated that Quaid-e-Azam’s sagacity and continuous struggle liberated us from the slavery of English and prejudiced supremacy of Hindus.

The President said that the present government is working to put the country on path to progress by following the principles of Quaid-e-Azam adding that now we have to move ahead and there is a need for great changes in the country. The President said that the government has initiated four projects of nuclear power and work on Bhasha, Diamer and Dasu dams have begun adding that many energy projects under Economic Corridor are also being started under which electricity would be generated from wind and solar projects.  The President underlined that there is a need to end parochialism and bring about revolutionary changes in the country to realize the dream of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal.

The President said that the country is under heavy external debt and a great chunk of our earning is used in servicing the debt but now the credit goes to Ishaq dar as there are signs that national economy is improving. The President underscored the importance of acquiring education so that further improvement could be brought forth in quality human resource and skills. The President called for waging struggle against corruption. The President said that we should establish such a society where no one could exploit anyone on account of power and wealth adding that such a Pakistan was the dream of quaid-e-Azam.

The President appreciated that Aiwan-e-Quaid-e-Azam has been completed under the auspices of Nazria-e- Pakistan Trust and hoped that it would prove to be a centre for promoting philosophy and ideas of Quaid-e-Azam. The President appreciated that Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif demonstrated personal interest for completing this Aiwan adding that financial support by the Federal Government is also commendable. The President assured that the government would continue its patronage for such creditable activities.

Chairman Nazria-e- Pakistan Trust Muhammad Rafique Tarar, Governor Punjab Rafique Rajwana, Vice Chairman Nazria-e- Pakistan Trust Dr. REafique Ahmed and other notable personalities were also present in the ceremony.
