PR No.115 Minister Of State (CA&DD) Barrister Usman Ibrahim, Administered Oath Upon The Newly Elected Office Bearers Of Pakistan Alliance Of Independent Schools (PAIS) Islamabad

Minister of State (CA&DD), Barrister Usman Ibrahim, attended the oath taking ceremony of the newly elected officer bearers of Pakistan Alliance of Independent Schools (PAIS) as Chief Guest. The meeting was organized at Islamabad Club.

The Minister while addressing the audience said that sustainable development in education is the need of the hour. Literacy rate can be improved on permanent basis through combined efforts form both the private and the public sectors.

Barrister Usman Ibrahim, said that under his command a survey of out of school children has been conducted. According to the survey 12000 children are out to schools. 1500 children have been admitted to schools by the efforts of the CA&D Division. He also said that literacy cell has been established in CA&DD with the objective of increasing the rate of literacy in the Capital City.

The Minister said that evening shifts have been started in the Government Educational Institutes of Islamabad with the idea of maximum utilization of infrastructure. More than 22000 students are studying in the evening shift.

Earlier, speaking on the occasion Mr Jameel Najum, Chairman advisory Council of PAIS said that PAIS is a platform to increase the literacy rate in country. He said that 67 Lacs children are out of schools at the moment. Under the platform of PAIS it is our goal to bring these children back to schools.

In the end the Minister appreciated the officer bearers of PAIS for their deduction for promotion of inclusive and equitable quality education. He said that only combined efforts can raise literacy rate, improve educational standards and build the nation for future.
