Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Pir Syed Saddarudin Shah Rashadi has directed for provision of more facilities to overseas Pakistanis and stressed for early resolution of their problems. He termed overseas Pakistanis as un-official ambassadors and directed the authorities concerned for utilization of all resources to facilitate Pakistani diaspora.

The Federal Minister issued these directions while chairing 129th OPF Board of Governors (BOG) meeting held here at OPF Head Office. The meeting was attended by Federal Secretary Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Khizar Hayat Khan, Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry, Secretary Defence, Lt. Gen ® Muhammad Alam Khattak, Managing Director OPF, Habib Ur Rehman Khan and prominent overseas Board Members including Masood Ahmed Khan, Syed Qamar Raza, Syed Tayab Hussain, Muhammad Asghar Qureshi, Raja Liaqat Ali and Muhammad Akram Ayub Chaudhry.

Addressing the meeting, the Federal Minister said that Pakistani expatriates are playing vital role in improving the economy of the country and they deserve special attention. He said that provision of more facilities and resolution of problems being faced by overseas Pakistanis is the top most priority of the government. The Federal Minister directed the authorities concerned to convene a special meeting with one point agenda to identify and resolution of problems being faced by overseas Pakistanis and their families.

The Board reviewed the progress of various welfare and development activities being carried out for welfare of overseas Pakistanis and their dependents. The progress report on the actionable points of last BOG meeting was also examined.
