PR No.16 Women Empowerment A Way To Educating Future Generation Ashtar Ausaf Ali Islamabad: December 2, 2015

Special Assistant to PM on Law/ MoS Ashtar Ausaf Ali has said that women empowerment is a very useful and effective way towards educating future generations. He said this while talking to H.E. Patrick Moody, Deputy British High Commissioner to Pakistan who paid a courtesy call to SAPM.

Mr. Ashtar Ausaf Ali has said that a working woman would like her child to attend school instead of working to support parents. This will not only lead to eradication of issue of out of school children but will help to a great deal in improving the enrollment at schools and increasing to literacy rate in the country, the SAPM continued. He informed the visiting envoy about the measures and initiatives taken by the present government for the women empowerment and eradication of child labor. He said that government is set to introduce right kind of changes in laws and statues governing the industrial and service sector to create a congenial working environment for women at work place. This will encourage the working women to focus on their job with peace of mind resulting better quality of finished products and citizenship, he added.

Mr. Ashtar Ausaf Ali also discussed with the Mr. Moody the opportunities and avenues available in Pakistan where partnership between the two countries can be further enhanced. He said that a comprehensive mechanism of dispute resolution is being developed to provide foreign investors, businessmen and traders ease of doing business in Pakistan. He hoped that such investment environment and opportunities being offered in Pakistan will attract investors from all around the globe.

Deputy British High Commissioner Mr. Patrick Moody informed the SAPM that a Prosperity Fund under British High Commission has been established to help people of Pakistan to uplift their living standards. He discussed with the SAPM about the best utilization of the Prosperity Fund and other areas of common interest including strengthening of prosecution services.
