President Mamnoon Hussain has said that relationship between Pakistan and Brazil are marked by cordiality and there is a considerable potential to boost trade between the two countries.

The President said this while talking to ambassador-designate of Pakistan to Brazil, Mr. S.M. Burhanul Islam, who called on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad on Wednesday.

The President underscored the need to translate the existing goodwill in building solid trade and commercial ties. The President advised the envoy-designate to focus on increasing Pakistan’s exports to Brazil and attracting Brazilian investment for joint ventures. The President said that the completion of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will open up immense business and trade opportunities not only in China and Pakistan but the entire region and the whole of Middle East. The President suggested that Brazil can enter into joint ventures with Pakistan for exporting their products to the emerging huge market.

The President congratulated the ambassador-designate on his new assignment and hoped that his appointment will further strengthen Pakistan’s multifaceted relations with Brazil.
