President Mamnoon Hussain today telephoned Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and felicitated on the success of Justice and Development Party (AKP) in elections. The President hoped that democracy would further strengthen in Turkey with the success of AKP and as a result prosperity of the people will increase. The President said that Pakistan and Turkey are two brotherly countries adding that their friendship based on common faith and history is growing day by day. The President hoped that under the government of AKP brotherly relations and people to people contacts between the two countries would further expand. Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu thanked President Mamnoon and said that Pakistan-Turkey relations would attain new heights of friendship. President Mamnoon Hussain on Monday had also called Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and extended his felicitation on the success of AKP in election.
