PR No.14 IMF Talks Islamabad

Finance Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar arrived here to join the Pakistan delegation holding talks with IMF team for the 9th review. The talks began last Monday and are expected to culminate on 4th of November 2015.

The Minister immediately after arrival had a meeting with members of the Pakistani delegation and received an update on the consultations which have taken place so far. Strategy for the policy level part of the talks in which Pakistan side would be headed by the Finance Minister, was also discussed.

Pakistan, it may be remembered entered the US$ 6.6 billion IMF Extended Fund Facility (EFF) in September 2013. The package is spread over a period of 36 months.
