PR No.120 PM CHAIRS MEETING ON NEW ISLAMABAD AIRPORT Islamabad

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif chaired a meeting regarding the constitution of new Islamabad airport here at PM House this morning.

The Prime Minister was briefed on the overall design, link roads and interior designing of the new Islamabad airport.

The Prime Minister directed that quality link roads must be constructed to the new airport for ensuring easy and speedy access. “This must be a state-of-the art airport with our cultural diversity reflected prominently in its interior designing”, said the Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister said that Islamabad airport must be completed on the lines of a truly modern airport having all the requisite facilities. “The capital of our country rightly deserves an airport which must match any modern airport the world over”, added the Prime Minister.

The meeting was also attended by Secretary Finance, Secretary & DG Aviation, Chairman NHA, Mayor of Islamabad and other senior officials of the government.
