Prime Minister, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has constituted a committee to inquire into the incident of Gadani. The committee headed by Rana Tanveer Hussain, Federal Minister for Defence Production visited Karachi Shipyard and Gadani today. The committee also comprises Secretary Cabinet, Secretary Defence Production, Secretary Ports and Shipping, Chief Secretary Balochistan, Additional Secretary Defence and Managing Director Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works.

In the first meeting of said committee, a briefing was given to the committee at Mehran Base Karachi. Rana Tanveer Hussain, Federal Minister for Defence Production presided over the meeting. The committee has been given the task to discover cause of the incident and fix the responsibility of this tragic incident. The committee also visited Gadani where the incident took place and caused the loss of precious lives. Rana Tanveer Hussain said that proper action will be taken against the culprits. He said that the committee will give its report in fifteen days.
