Federal Minister for human rights Kamran Michael visited welfare center for women and shelter home on Wednesday in Islamabad. Secretary Ministry of human rights, Nadeem Ashraf, Additional Secretary Minister of human rights, Humaira Azam and other relevant officials were also present. Federal Minister for Human Rights Kamran Michael inspected the various sections of the center and directed the relevant officials to provide all facilities to these under privileged and oppressed women and their children. He further added to solve their issues on priority basis and to ensure their moral and legal safety with every possible effort.

Later, a detailed briefing was also given to the Human rights Minister regarding the working and functions of the center and it was told that all medical, residential and educational facilities are being provided along with legal assistance to under privileged and oppressed women and children residing in center.  Federal minister for human rights Kamran Michael assured to continue his support to protect and safeguard the rights of oppressed women and children and directed to establish an old age home in Islamabad comprising all possible facilities. In briefing, it was further told that in Islamabad, four new centers for underprivileged women and children are going to be established.

Human Rights Minister directed that all possible resources should be utilized for the welfare and shelter homes for women and directed to start a free helpline to support and solve the issues of oppressed women and children around the clock. Afterward, Minister for Human Rights Kamran Michael appreciated all destitute children in center and distributed gifts among them.
