Minister of State for CADD, Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry chaired a meeting to review the progress of the development projects under the Public Sector Development Program undertaken by different organizations working under the supervision of CADD.

 

Officials of PIMS, Poly Clinic, Federal Directorate of Education, Capital Development Authority and Directorate General of Special Education briefed the Minister regarding the current status of the projects and the availability of funds. The Minister directed the officials to ensure transparency and timely completion of projects.

 

The Minister was informed that Rs. 2562.237 million have been allocated for 26 development projects of CADD for the financial year 2016-17. Out of this Rs. 1508.836 million has been allocated for 12 on-going projects and Rs. 1053.401 million for 14 new schemes. Under PSDP there are ten projects in health sector, ten projects in education sector, four in CDA and two in Special Education sector.

 

The projects in health sector included establishment of Center for Hematology Disorder at PIMS, establishment of Federal Breast Cancer Screening Center at PIMS, establishment of center for neuro-sciences at PIMS, establishment of Unit for Shredding, Sterilization and Disposal of Medical Waste at PIMS, Up-Gradation of Modern Endoscopy Diagnostic Services, Up-Gradation of X-Ray machines at Radiology Department and extension of Poly Clinic Hospital.

 

The projects in education sector included establishment of Islamabad Model School for Girls, PAF Complex, E-9, uplifting of Islamabad Model College for Boys, G-10/4,uplifting of Islamabad Model School for Boys, G-11/2, by Providing Physical Infrastructure, uplifting of Islamabad Model School for Boys, G-6/4, construction of Islamabad Model School for Girls (I-VIII) Khana Dak, construction of new building of Islamabad Model School for Boys (I-V), Mangial (F.A), establishment of SMART Schools in Islamabad, establishment of Project Management Unit (PMU) for Prime Minister’s Education Reforms Program in Islamabad, establishment of Federal Government College of Home Economics, Management Sciences & Specialized Disciplines, F-11/1, up-gradation of National Special Education Centre for Hearing Impaired Children from Higher Secondary to Graduation Level, H-9/4 and establishment of Resource Unit for Autistic Children at National Special Education Centre for Mentally Retarded Children, H-8/4.
