PR No. 171 WITH THE COMPLIMENTS FROM THE PRO TO GOVERNOR, KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA Peshawar: September 23, 2016

Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Engr. Iqbal Zafar Jhagra says “There is no alternate and shortcut to success except quality education and hardwork”. He further added, “It is admirable to know that Edwards College has allocated Rs. 1.2 million as financial assistance to 25 students for FATA.”

He expressed these views on the eve of awarding financial assistance to 25 Edwards College students from FATA here at Governor’s House, Peshawar on Friday. Principle Edwards College Prof. Brig. ® Dr. Nayyer Firdows, Faculty Members and students were also present on the occasion.

Engr. Iqbal Zafar Jhagra said that Edwards College was one of great institution of educational excellence had earned an enviable reputation by providing great leaders who proved to be beneficial in discharging their responsibilities.

While admiring the performance of Edwardians he emphasized that it has always been a pride and pleasure to be an Edwardian. Moreover, Edwards College has played a pivotal role in educating talented and needy students belonging to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa FATA, minorities, Chitral and other Provinces by providing them financial assistance and scholarships.

He further advised to students, “Scholarship is an honour and has a very special purpose in the life of students and I hope you all will make us feel proud of you.”

At the end, Governor give heartfelt congratulations to all of the students.
