President Mamnoon Hussain has emphasized the need on increasing trade between Islamic countries adding that OIC member states should meet their requirements with products of Islamic countries. The President noted that bilateral trade volume between Pakistan and Morocco is below potential and called for increasing it.

 

The President was talking to the outgoing ambassador of Morocco to Pakistan Mustapha Salahdine who paid a farewell call on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad on Friday.

 

The President said that unnecessary duties between Pakistan and Morocco should be done away with to boost up bilateral trade activities. The President stated that Pakistan offers attractive investment opportunities and Moroccan entrepreneurs should benefit from it. The President called for regular exchange of delegations in the fields of education, culture and other sectors between Pakistan and Morocco. The President said that the people of Morocco are known for their excellent conduct in the region. The President lauded Morocco’s journey to progress and prosperity under the leadership of Moroccan Prime Minister Abdelilah Benkirane.

 

President Mamnoon Hussain conveyed his best wishes for the people and leadership of Morocco. On the occasion, the outgoing ambassador of Morocco thanked the Government of Pakistan for extending support to his country on various regional and international issues.
