PR No. 150 PAKISTAN’S HIGH COMMISSIONER DELIVERED TALK ON INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS AND PAKISTAN-NIGERIA RELATIONS AT NIIA Islamabad: September 22, 2016

The Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), invited High Commissioner of Pakistan to Nigeria Lt. Gen. (R) Agha Muhammad Umer Farooq to deliver talk on “International Affairs and Pakistan – Nigeria Relations”. It is pertinent to mention here that NIIA at Lagos is renowned think tank and foreign policy input institution who works under overall auspices of Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The talks lasted for 25 minutes with over two hours interactive session. Where dimensions of conflict , peace, diplomacy, foreign policy, regional security and stability remained the focus of discussion. Aspects of terrorism, extremism, migrations, nuclear policy and economic & business environment created an intense debate among participants too.

Intellectuals and scholars comprising from Foreign Service, academia, universities as well as interns undertaking international and foreign affairs studies were invited who participated in interactive session.

On conclusion of the lecture, the High Commissioner presented 100 x books on Pakistan for the library which will constitute a Pakistan specific. The books covered broad spectrum of Pakistan Studies, Policies,  Pictorial Panoramas across Pakistan and regional affairs.
