PR No. 253 Pakistan Ambassador presented his credentials Tehran

Pakistan Ambassador Asif Ali Khan Durrani presented his credentials to Iranian President, Dr. Hassan Rouhani, here today.

While welcoming the incoming Ambassador the President expressed warm sentiments for the people and Government of Pakistan. During the tenure of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the President said, the relations between Pakistan and Iran has strengthened. The President recalled his recent visit to Pakistan fondly and expressed hope that the decisions take on would be implemented. He also called for further cooperation in the field of economic relations, Culture and Border Security.

The Ambassador on his part said that Pakistan considered Iran a brotherly Islamic country. Government of Pakistan, he said, was working seriously to implement the decision reached during the visit of President Rouhani to Pakistan.  He also expressed confidence that the two countries would work together in the areas of mutual interests especially for enhancing Economic cooperation.
