A delegation of Officers from Information Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province is undergoing a week-long capacity building program here at the Information Service Academy (ISA) of Ministry of Information Broadcasting and National Heritage.
The training initiative is the outcome of MoU signed between the Information Department, KPK and Information Service Academy earlier this year. As per the agreement, ISA would undertake capacity building of Information Officers belonging to the Provincial Service of KPK through customized training programs involving classroom lectures, practice sessions, interactive exercises, presentations and field visits of various relevant private and federal government institutions and departments.
First of such group of Information Officers, working for public relations of different ministries/departments/divisions of KPK, is currently attending a week-long Workshop on Development Communications at the Information Service Academy. The officers during their engagement at the Academy are also being familiarized with the working of Federal Government Departments, Government media organizations, private media outlets and multinational / multilateral institutions.
The MoU between the Information Department, KPK and Information Service Academy, M/o IB&NH underscores a flagship initiative of the Academy in its efforts to engage Information Departments of other Provinces as well as educational institutions, media outlets and multilateral organizations for capacity building of government officers in the areas of public relations and strategic communication.
