Italian senator Benedetto Della Vedova his Excellency called on the Minister for religious affairs and interfaith harmony sardar Muhammad yousof here today along with his delegation. Both sides discussed matter of bilateral interests. Pakistan and Italy should work together to create a peaceful atmosphere for bridging gaps among all religions and to eliminate distances between Muslim and nonmuslim citizens of the country, the minister said. The minister further urged to organize interfaith harmony conferences on international level in order to raise awareness of tolerance among people of different faiths. Ministry had organized similar conference last year in which different foreign countries representative had participated.Minister also showed his reservations over the recent blasphemous posts on social media and he said that he was looking forward to the cooperation of European union for the removal of the same from the internet. around 2 million Muslims are a part of Italian community ,out of which seven hundred thousand are pakistani and they are playing their productive role in Italian economy. ltalian senator applauded the continued efforts of ministry for interfaith harmony.Senator also emphasized that both country should make some comprehensive framework for religious freedom.
