PR No.92 Two-Day Conference Of Dgs Audit Starts Islamabad: April 11, 2016The Auditor General of Pakistan, Rana Assad Amin, has convened a meeting of the Director Generals Audit to review the progress of implementation of the audit plan for 2015-16 and share ideas for the next year’s audit plan. The meeting started in the Conference Room of the Auditor General of Pakistan on Monday 11th April, 2016 under the chairmanship of the Auditor General of Pakistan. DGs of Audit from Defense Audit Wing, Corporate Audit Wing, District Audit Wing and Accounting Policy Wing presented the progress by their respective audit offices for implementation of the audit plan. They intimated that in the light of the vision of the Auditor General ofPakistan, they are working to come up with quality audit reports and allocating more resources for performance audit, special audit and special studies. DGs of Audit from Defense Audit Wing, Corporate Audit Wing, District Audit Wing and Accounting Policy Wing presented the progress by their respective audit offices for implementation of the audit plan. They intimated that in the light of the vision of the Auditor General ofPakistan, they are working to come up with quality audit reports and allocating more resources for performance audit, special audit and special studies. They are also following on clearance of long outstanding audit paras by holding special Departmental Accounts Committee (DAC) meetings with the Secretaries of Ministries and Departments concerned. The DGs also shared ideas about the next year’s audit plan.

The Auditor General of Pakistan advised that the next year’s audit plan should be in line with the Strategic Plan of the Department and include audit of the efforts to achieve millennium development goals. Priority should also be given to the PSDP projects involving huge expenditure.
