PR No.131 Steering Committee Meeting Of Pak Mdgs Community Development Programme Held Islamabad

Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and In-charge Minister for Prime Minister’s Public Affairs and Grievances Wing Sheikh Aftab Ahmed has said that the incumbent government endeavoring for provision of basic amenities to the masses to provide all kinds of facilities on their doorsteps. He stated this while chairing the Steering Committee Meeting of Pak Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) on community development and prosperity Programme here today.

Matters pertaining to the welfare of masses and progress on ongoing projects initiated by the present democratic government were discussed during the meeting. The implementation on the decisions taken by the committee in the last meeting were reviewed in the meeting. The funding position with regard to release to the ongoing projects and the status of balance of these funds and their utilization on these projects were deliberated upon in the meeting.

It was decided in the meeting that work on ongoing projects should be expedited and these must be completed on stipulated time.

The minister directed all concerned authorities to release funds for ongoing projects in time to avoid lapsing of funds in this current fiscal year.

MNA Captain ® Mohammad Safdar, Secretary Cabinet Division, Raja Hasan Abbas, senior officials of SNGPL, OGRA, Parliamentary Affairs and Finance Division also attended the meeting.
