The Federal Minister for Human Rights Mr. Zahid Hamid was briefed about the working of the Ministry of Human Rights. Meeting was attended by the Federal Secretary Human Rights, Joint Secretary and other officers of the ministry.

After a complete presentation on the working of the Ministry, Mr. Hamid directed that Human Rights help-line for complaints needs to be scaled up and publicized through various channels for increasing awareness. The complaint system should be automated. He further stressed the need for all pending human rights legislation to take place quickly. He solicited suggestions from all officers of the ministry to make the Ministry a nimble and efficient organization.
