PR No. 216 Visit Of Pakistani Students In Exchange Programme Islamabad

Students from the top universities in Pakistan , who are on a week-long visit to Japan under the Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths (JENESYS) 2015 Program, along with their supervisor and representatives of Japan International Cooperation Centre (JICE) visited the Embassy. The students recalled in positive terms their experiences of visiting Japan especially appreciating stay with Japanese families and interacting with Japanese people, culture and students, says a press release received here today from Tokyo.

Ambassador Farukh Amil underlined the significance of pursuing higher studies in Japan especially in Science, Technology, Innovation and Management Sciences. He said that it was an excellent opportunity for the students to gain a wider knowledge of Japan from the cutting edge technology to traditional culture. He said that education skills, civic sense, ethics and characteristics of hard work and perseverance amongst the Japanese were very important to be acquired.

On the request of JICE, the Ambassador presented the Certificates to the students for participation in the JENESYS 2015 Program.

Earlier the Ambassador participated in JENESYS 2015 Workshop where over 100 students from SAARC countries were present. In his speech he appreciated the presentations, teamwork and maximum participation of female students. He especially stressed on the importance of people-to-people contact and learning from a society like Japan. The Pakistani students expressed appreciation for the support and encouragement they received from the Embassy.
