First Lady Begum Mahmooda Mamnoon Hussain has said that we cannot progress without eliminating terrorism from the country and I pray that terrorism in all its manifestations is eradicated from Pakistan.

First Lady said this while addressing a delegation of Girl Guides Association at the Aiwan-e- Sadar, Islamabad on Wednesday.

First Lady said that women should spare their time from household activities to enhance their educational capacity so that they can play an effective role in national development. Begum Mamnoon stated that we can make Pakistan a better place to live by shunning hypocrisy and deceit.

First Lady said that Pakistani women are endowed with talent and if they are given proper opportunities they can achieve laurels. She stated that the aim of Girl Guides Association is to equip the Pakistani women with the skills so that they can be useful citizens of the country and be an asset to their family. She further said that the country would progress further in a real sense if our women partake in national development and progress.

Pakistan Girl Guides Association National Commissioner Senator Nuzhat Sadiq in her address highlighted the functions and performance of the Association. On the occasion, Girl Guides presented different tableaus and recited Naats which were greatly appreciated by the First Lady. Girl Guides also presented a guard of honor to the First Lady.
