President Mamnoon Hussain has expressed satisfaction at the improved law and order situation in Balochistan and reiterated the government’s resolve to carry out development projects for the welfare and prosperity of the people of the province.

The President said this while talking to Speaker of the Balochistan Assembly Ms. Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani, who called on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad on Friday. First Lady Begum Mahmooda Mamnoon Hussain was also present on the occasion.

The President said that with the completion of Gwadar port and China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project a new era of prosperity would usher in Pakistan particularly in Balochistan.

The President felicitated Ms. Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani on being elected as the first woman Speaker of the Balochistan Assembly and hoped that she would play a positive role in strengthening the democratic traditions in Balochistan.
