Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) in collaboration with Qatar Charity provides Artificial Limbs to the Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in Sawat. Ambassador of Qatar in Pakistan H.E. Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani and Managing Director PBM, Malik Zaheer Abbas Khokhar met with the PWDs in a ceremony held in Saidu Medical College, Saidu Sharif in Sawat, who received the Artificial Limbs. Addressing the ceremony, Ambassador of Qatar H.E. Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani articulated his contentment being part of such a noble cause. He said its moment of pleasure and excitement for me that PWDs are now able to live a better life ahead. He also vowed for the continued partnership with PBM to comfort the lives of susceptible populace of the country. Highlighting the deep-rooted bilateral brotherly relations between the two countries, Managing Director PBM, Malik Zaheer Abbas expressed his gratification for extending support to the deprived community. He was of the view that PBM is determined to take every possible step for the mobility and sovereign life of the PWDs. Malik Zaheer Abbas further explained that under the Prime Minister’s Ehsas Programme, PWDs are also benefitted with customized wheelchairs and other assistive products like hearing aids, white cane, elbow crutches and others. As many as 65 PWDs were provided various body parts including arms, legs and bionic hands under the supervision and training of expert medical team of PIPOS.
