On 27th October, an event to commemorate "Kashmir Black Day" was organized in collaboration with the Pakistan Embassy School & College, Tripoli at the Chancery. The event was attended by the Pakistani and Kashmiri Diaspora, think tanks, Civil society and Libyan nationals, said a press release received here today from Tripoli. At the start of the programme, after recitation of holy Quran, one-minute silence was observed. Thereafter, a ten-minute short documentary was screened, which highlighted various important aspects including international, legal and human rights dimensions of the dispute. Followed by the documentary on HRVs, the Embassy School Students made relevant speeches both in English and Arabic languages. Simultaneously the relevant photo slides, Videos and translations were shown on the screen. The undersigned read out the messages of the President, Prime Minister and Foreign. The programme at the end featured a photo exhibition highlighting human rights abuses of the peoples of Kashmir at the hand of India security forces. All the participants felt the deep pain, and expressed solidarity with the Kashmiri populace. After the programme, refreshment was served to all the guests.
