NCOC morning session was held chaired by Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar Co chaired by National Coordinator NCOC. ? The Forum was briefed on alarming and rapid spread of third wave of Covid -19 , ? With an increase of 4 - 5 thousand cases daily, pressure is mounting on health care facilities across the country. ? Hospital admissions and bulk requirements of oxygenated bed has increased manifolds. ? 91% oxygen produced in country is being already consumed. Major share is ? going to hospitals. ? Masses are not taking situation seriously. SOPs are being violated across the ? board. ? Situation is escalating fast, if the spread prevails, NCOC will consider locking ? down major cities. ? Provincial administrations is requested to ensure implementation of NPIs and ? SOPs. ? In view of above fol were NCOC suggestions , shared with Provinces for their input. Decision will be taken on 23rd April at NCOC. o Ban on all activities after 6:pm till Sehr (stay safe / stay home policy) – Only exemption to petrol pumps, medical stores and vaccination centers o Saturday / Sunday as closed day – only exemption to medical stores, petrol pumps, vaccination centers, poultry and vegetable shops (Closure of remaining all sectors / shops) o True implementation of 50 % work from home policy – Each Secy of respective ministry, president banks / depts etc to ensure. o Reduced office hours from 09:00 am – 02:00 pm o Expansion in already enforced broader lockdowns with stringent mobility protocols o Closure of all type of Gyms
