President Dr Arif Alvi has said that the government is making serious efforts to facilitate and support business community and industrial sector of the country. He stated that the government had announced historic stimulus package of Rs. 1.2 Trillion to provide relief to business community and under-privileged strata of society during the COVID-19 pandemic. He expressed these views while talking to a delegation of Peshawar Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industry (PCST&SI), led by President PCST&SI, Muhammad Adnan Jalil, which called on him, at Aiwan-e-Sadr, today. Talking to the delegation, the President said that PCST&SI played important role in the prosperity of the country through their business activities. He added that business-friendly policies of the country led to remarkable improvement in the Ease of Doing Business Index ranking. The delegation apprised the President about their problems. It appreciated the steps taken by the government for providing relief to business community during the pandemic.
