Federal Minister for Human Rights Dr. Shireen Mazari said in her tweet “The international community, the United Nations and international human rights organisations need to act against India's fascist occupation regime in Indian Occupied Kashmir.Simply saluting Kashmiris courage is not enough. There must be action. From mass rape in Kunan and Poshpora, to the incarceration of Kashmiri women like Asiya Andrabi, a resolute voice for freedom. Occupation of Indian government violates all international law and United Nations Security Council resolutions. Asiya has been incarcerated since 12 years & her husband, a Ph D scholar, since 28 years. She further said United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 (2000) on women, peace & security calls on all parties to conflict to take special measures to protect women & girls from gender-based violence, particularly rape & other forms of sexual abuse, in situations of armed conflict. India is in constant violation of this resolution.
