br>Advisor to PM on Climate Change, Malik Amin Aslam held a meeting with Mr. Christophe Crepin, World Bank South Asia Manager (Environment & Natural Resources) here. Various matters related to WB financed development projects in different sectors came under discussion. Minister welcomed the guest on his first visit to Pakistan. Advisor appreciated WB’s support to the ongoing project initiatives taken by the incumbent government which were helping to all provinces in10 billion tsunami project and Clean Green Pakistan. Forestry, fishing, environment, agriculture, natural resources, sanitation and polythene bag related issues were discussed during the meeting. He said that regional connectivity was extremely important for the member of all stakeholders. He said that WB’s support was also commendable and hoped that the Institute will play its due role in devising innovative solutions. Mr. Christophe Crepin thanked the Minister for his continued encouragement for WB supported initiatives in Pakistan and assured to further enhance the level of cooperation in the years to come. He said that WB would continue to lend financial and technical support to counter the issues, wishing to enhance regional cooperation. He said that there was immense potential for regional connectivity in the region. World Bank South Asia Manager also ensured the minister to boost preparation of the projects and to support implementation of the ongoing projects.
