PM KAMYAB JAWAN AND BRITISH COUNCIL TO INK FELLOWSHIP AGREEMENT ON 11TH FEB.USMAN DAR

Muhammad Usman Dar, Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Youth Affairs held a meeting with delegates from British Council Pakistan here at PM office, today. The meeting discussed launching of DICE (Developing Inclusive and Creative Economies) fellowship programme by British Council for successful applicants of Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme (YES) under Prime Minister’s Kamyab Jawan Programme. Mr. Dar said that the fellowship programme will offer an ideal opportunity for young entrepreneurs to learn from the expertise of successful people in their respective areas of business interests. He further said that the fellowship programme will professionally groom young entrepreneurs nad help them run successful businesses. “We must be able to reach out to maximum number of entrepreneurs so that they are adequately groomed in their areas of business interests. I am grateful for the efforts and assistance of all partners in youth development”, emphasized Mr. Dar. It was agreed during the meeting that formal agreement (letter of intent) in this regard will be signed between PM Kamyab Jawan Programme and British Council on February 11, 2020 here at PM Office. Initially, the programme will be started as a pilot project, which would later be extended after impacts evaluation of its execution. As a pilot project, training to 300 businesses from 11 districts of the country will be imparted, which would later be scaled up. The fellowship programme will comprise of workshops and training for a period of four months. Professional from relevant fields will be training the young entrepreneurs. The meeting was also attended by senior officials of the PM office.
