PR No. 97 OVERSEAS PAKISTANIS AND HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT MINISTRY RESOLVES 5135 COMPLAINTS IN ONE YEAR Islamabad: October 11, 2019

According to the latest statistics of Prime Minister’s Citizens Portal, a total of 5615 complaints were filed pertaining to the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanisand Human Resource Development. 91% of the received complaints were successfully resolved. The Ministry not only managed to resolve over 5100 complaints but also took policy decisions based on the suggestions of Overseas Pakistanis. With the special attention of SAPM Syed Zulfiqar Bukhari and Prime Minister’s Office’s directives, FBR exempted the Overseas Pakistanis from withholding tax (WHT). The Ministry repatriated 579 Pakistanis from Saudi prisons alone. The repatriation of Mr. ShahidAli from KSA, who was stuck there due to bankruptcy of one company, is one of the successstories of Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and HRD. Most of the complaints of Overseas Pakistani received were from UAE and KSA. The portal received a total of 1.23 Million complaints. 1.05 Million complaints were successfully resolved. *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
