The second Round of Pakistan-Indonesia Joint Defence Cooperation Committee (JDCC) talks were held in Jakarta from 25-26 September 2019. Rear Admiral Mirza Foad Amin Baig, Additional Secretary Defence led the Pakistani delegation and Major General Sunaryo, Expert Staff to Defence Minister for Security, Ministry of Defence, headed the Indonesian side. JDCC is the highest forum of defence collaboration between the two countries which was established under Agreement on Defence Cooperative Activities signed in July, 2010; with the aim to carry out comprehensive review of effective implementation of the Agreement. Inaugural Session of JDCC was held on 4th September 2018 in Ministry of Defence, Pakistan. During the second Round of JDCC, both sides exchanged views on bilateral as well as major regional/international issues. The two sides reviewed the progress made in the areas of Defence Industry and Military Training cooperation which were discussed during the first meeting and explored new avenues of collaboration in greater detail. It was agreed that cooperation between Pakistan and Indonesia in all spheres of mutual interest particularly in the ambit of defence shall continue more vigorously with a focus on achieving the set targets. During their stay in Indonesia, the Pakistan delegation will also visit Defence Industry Establishments of Indonesia. ***********
