Ambassador Mohammad Imran Mirza, Special Envoy called on the President of Senegal, H.E., Mr. Macky Sall to convey message of goodwill on behalf of the President, the Prime Minister and the People of Pakistan. During the meeting, the Ambassador congratulated President Macky Sall on his re-election to the Presidency for a second term. He reiterated Pakistan’s support and cooperation towards the prosperity and development of Senegal, especially in the fields of defence cooperation, trade, higher education, agriculture etc, says a press release received from Senegal. Ambassador Mirza also informed the President that Pakistan greatly valued the brotherly relations between the two countries which have been on a positive trajectory since the visit of the President Macky Sall to Pakistan in September 2016. President Macky Sall acknowledge the cordial and friendly relations that exist between Pakistan and Senegal and hoped that follow up of the inaugural session of Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC) would further expand the bilateral cooperation. The President also said that he is looking forward to meeting with the Prime Minister Imran Khan on the sidelines of United National General Assembly (UNGNA) session next week in New York. The meeting ended on a positive note as the President expressed his desire that the multi-sectoral cooperation between the two countries, which include trade & investment, decision cooperation, agriculture and higher education must be further enhanced to its true potential. *** ?
