PR No. 27 Telephone Call to the Prime Minister of Malaysia by the Prime Minister of Pakistan Islamabad, 5 August, 2019

Prime Minister Imran Khan called Malaysian Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad to apprise him of the recent developments in the Indian Occupied Kashmir. The Prime Minister said that India’s announcement regarding the status of the Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir was in clear violation of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions. He underscored that this illegal move by India would deteriorate the peace and security of the region and would further undermine the relations between two neighbors with strategic capabilities. Prime Minister Mahathir said that Malaysia was closely monitoring the situation in the Indian Occupied Kashmir and would remain in touch. He added that he was also looking forward to meeting the Prime Minister on the sidelines of UN General Assembly session in New York. *** ?
