"Rule of Law shall be made the utmost priority in the country" said Ijaz Ahmad Shah, Federal Minister for Interior while presiding over the meeting along with Governer Sindh, Imran Ismail at Governer House Karachi. All key stakeholders including IG Sindh, Addl. IG, DG Rangers, Director NADRA and representatives from other Law Enforcing Agencies including FIA were present during the meeting. IG Sindh Dr. Kaleem Imam briefed about the law and order situation and achievements of Sindh Police over the past one year. "We are trying our best to improve the police stations across Sindh", he said. He also discussed the implications faced by them while operating, Interior Minister assured full assistance to them from center. IG Sindh admired the role of Rangers in restoring peace in the region. Governer Sindh, Imran Ismail appreciated the cooperation from all departments and said that its great to see that the city has finally resumed its life. He further added that gone are the days when the city was operated by one person. It was shared in the meeting that Karachi has gone down to 70th position in 2019 from 6th in the world two years back in world crime index. This is a milestone achievement in the global history, IG Sindh added. The meeting concluded with a promise that rule of law shall prevail and all institutions should work hand in hand for the betterment of Pakistan and its people. *****
