An impressive flag hoisting ceremony was held at Embassy of Pakistan Cairo on March 23 2019 to celebrate 79th National Day of Pakistan. Pakistani community, students and representatives of local media participated. Messages of President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan, on the occasion, were read out to the audience. Students of Pakistan International School Cairo (PISC) gave a colorful performance on national and folk songs. Leading daily newspapers, Daily Egyptian Gazette and Daily Al-Gamhouria, carried special supplements on the occasion, says a press release received here today from Cairo. Earlier, Chamberlain of the Presidency of the Arab republic of Egypt called on the Ambassador of Pakistan to convey felicitations from President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, His Excellency Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, to the government and the people of Pakistan on occasion of the National Day. Addressing the community, the Ambassador highlighted radical reforms introduced by the government of Prime Minister Imran Khan for efficient delivery of services to citizens. He particularly recalled the launching of Online Citizens Portal, which was accessible to all citizens at home and abroad and was being monitored directly from the Prime Minister’s Office. He also expressed satisfaction at the progress made in relations between Egypt and Pakistan during the past few months and said that the relations were now set to expand and strengthen in all domains in the coming years. The ceremony ended with the customary light refreshments for the participants.
